Why Certification?

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are now responsible for 70 to 80% of all health care expenditure, yet most health professionals treat NCDs the same way they were trained to treat communicable disease: with pills and injections. While this might temporarily relieve acute symptoms, it does not address the underlying cause of these diseases.

Most doctors and health professionals receive little to no education on nutrition, exercise, rest or social connectivity, which are the four pillars of Lifestyle Medicine. Learn how to prevent, arrest and potentially reverse NCDs in a scientific, evidence-based manner and receive the official seal of approval that you have studied and mastered the discipline from the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine (IBLM) and the South Pacific Society of Lifestyle Medicine (SPSLM).
